[Case Study] Building a Smart Factory through "Visualization of People"

We aim for production efficiency at a world-class level of No. 1 in large-scale semiconductor factories by utilizing indoor positioning.

At Japan Semiconductor Co., Ltd. Oita Plant, the challenge of "visualizing people" was identified in the semiconductor manufacturing environment, which involves small quantities of diverse products and a large number of processes. We introduced "iField indoor," which visualizes and analyzes human movement through indoor positioning using BLE Beacon technology, achieving "visualization of people." Additionally, we developed the "M 3 Vision Monitor," which overlays information about objects and equipment. This has enabled optimal and flexible personnel allocation. [Case Study] ■ Challenge - "Visualization of people" in the semiconductor manufacturing environment with small quantities of diverse products and many processes. ■ Product Introduced - iField indoor *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Indoor positioning system using UWB communication

It is a system that allows for the management of the movement of people and objects indoors at a centimeter level!

The UWB indoor positioning system is a system that can accurately and in real-time grasp the location of people and objects indoors. By managing the dynamics of warehouse logistics and factory workers and visualizing work routes, it achieves improved operational efficiency and productivity. ■Features ♢ UWB communication enables flow management that is not possible with beacons or Bluetooth. ♢ Visualization of behavior routes allows for efficient route development. ♢ Managing the flow of objects enables cost-cutting for infrequently used equipment.
